Common questions

What does an internal tool cost?

Most internal tools start around £750. There is no list price, because scope varies too much to have one. After a short call we send a written scope with a fixed price against it, and you decide before anything is built.

Who owns the software you build?

That is agreed before we start, because it changes the price. Either the software is yours outright, or you hold a licence — lifetime or renewable. Whichever you choose is written into the scope, so there is no ambiguity later.

What happens after handover?

If something we built is broken, we fix it — covered for twelve months after handover. New features and changes are quoted separately. There is no support contract you have to escape from.

What if the scope changes mid-project?

If what you need turns out to be different from what we scoped, we stop and rewrite the scope rather than quietly drifting. You get a new price and decide whether to carry on.

How does a physical deployment work?

We would rather see the site first — what is already there, where cabling can run, what the building allows. Where there are clear plans and documentation, or the site is a long way out, we can quote without a visit, and we will still come if you ask. If you already have a design, we are happy to install it. The work on site is done by Hornik IT.

Do you look after it after the install?

You can leave it with us. Hornik IT looks after the networks, cameras and door access it installs — monitoring, updates and call-outs — or you can take it on yourself.
